🌧️ The Rainy Afternoon

 

 Yesterday afternoon, the rain was falling softly outside the classroom windows.
The wind was blowing, and the trees were moving slowly in the grey sky.

Inside the classroom, the students were waiting for their teacher.
Maria was reading a book near the window.
Tom was drawing a big dragon in his notebook.
Two boys were whispering and were laughing quietly.

In the corner, the class cat was sleeping on a chair.
It was dreaming, and its tail was moving gently.

Suddenly, the door opened.
The teacher came in and smiled.

“What were you doing?” she asked.

Maria said, “I was reading.”
Tom said, “I was drawing.”
The boys said, “We were talking.”

The rain was still falling, but now everyone was listening carefully.
