We use the simple present to talk about things we do every day or things that are always true.
💬 How to make a negative sentence?
👉 Formula:
Subject + don’t / doesn’t + base verb
| Subject | Helping Verb | Example Sentence | |||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| I / You / We / They | don’t | I don’t like broccoli. | |||||||||
| He / She / It | doesn’t | She doesn’t play soccer. |
Remember:
-
The verb stays in its base form (no “s” even with he/she/it).
-
We use don’t for I, you, we, they.
-
We use doesn’t for he, she, it.
