Simple Present – Negative Form

We use the simple present to talk about things we do every day or things that are always true.

💬 How to make a negative sentence?

        👉 Formula:

        Subject + don’t / doesn’t + base verb

        Subject       Helping Verb     Example Sentence
        I / You / We / They       don’t      I don’t like broccoli.
He / She / It       doesn’t     She doesn’t play soccer.

      Remember:

  • The verb stays in its base form (no “s” even with he/she/it).

  • We use don’t for I, you, we, they.

  • We use doesn’t for he, she, it.
