🌧️ The Rainy Afternoon

Yesterday afternoon, the rain was falling softly outside the classroom windows.
The wind was blowing, and the trees were moving slowly in the grey sky.

Inside the classroom, the students were waiting for their teacher.
Maria was reading a book near the window.
Tom was drawing a big dragon in his notebook.
Two boys were whispering and were laughing quietly.

In the corner, the class cat was sleeping on a chair.
It was dreaming, and its tail was moving gently.

Suddenly, the door opened.
The teacher came in and smiled.

“What were you doing?” she asked.

Maria said, “I was reading.”
Tom said, “I was drawing.”
The boys said, “We were talking.”

The rain was still falling, but now everyone was listening carefully.

What was Maria doing?
What were the boys doing?
Was the cat running or sleeping?
What was the weather like?

A Rainy Afternoon

Yesterday afternoon, it was raining. The sky was gray, and the wind was blowing hard. The children were staying inside. Marlo was sitting by the window and watching the rain. She was drawing pictures in her notebook. Noa was reading a comic book on the couch. He was also drinking hot chocolate. Mia was helping her mom in the kitchen. They were baking cookies, and the house was smelling so good! While the children were doing their activities, the dog was sleeping on the rug. The cat was jumping on the table and playing with a pencil. Later, the rain was stopping, and the sun was shining a little. The children were putting on their jackets and boots. They were going outside to jump in puddles and look for rainbows. Everyone was smiling and enjoying the quiet, cozy afternoon.

A Day at the Zoo

Last Sunday, Emma and her family went to the zoo. It was a sunny day, and many people were visiting the zoo.

While Emma’s dad was buying the tickets, Emma and her little brother were looking at the map.
They wanted to see the lions, the elephants, and the monkeys.

First, they walked to the lion area. The lions were sleeping under a tree. One lion was yawning while the others were lying in the sun.

Then, they visited the elephant enclosure. The elephants were eating grass and one baby elephant was playing with water. Emma took a photo while the elephant was splashing its trunk.

Later, while they were walking to the monkey area, it started to rain.
Many people were running to stay dry, but Emma’s family brought umbrellas.

At lunchtime, they sat at a picnic table and ate sandwiches.
While they were eating, some birds were flying nearby, hoping for crumbs.

In the afternoon, they went to the gift shop.
Emma bought a giraffe key chain, and her brother chose a tiger toy.

Everyone was smiling as they left the zoo. It was a fun and exciting day!
